Today I got a call on the home phone. Most calls are friendly telemarketers or awesome credit card offers. Today was someone asking for a charity donation, not that there's anything wrong with that. I'm just not giving to charities right now. So, when they asked if they could send me a packet of letters to send to my friends asking for donations in August, I replied, "I'm actually leaving the country in July." And do you know what they said??? Wanna guess?? After a short pause, they said "Oh. Thanks for your time."
Who knew that's all you had to say. I should have been using this response all along.
